My favourites from The Body Shop

The Body Shop is probably the only brand I have consistently loved since I was a child and is still my go-to now. I love their philosophy, origin and their attention to social issues – which is rare for a large organisation. I also love their products! So now that it’s that time of year again and I’m thinking about what to get my friends and family for Christmas, I know that The Body Shop is a definite stop!

This is not a sponsored post but I am part of their affiliate programme and am able to share code 14672 for you to get 15% off selected products online (offer ends 30 Nov). I’ll have some affiliate links throughout this post which basically means I get a small commission if you buy anything through the links below at no extra cost to you!

Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

So we’re kicking it off with my absolute fave skincare product – the Camomile Cleansing Butter which is an amazing cleansing balm for melting off your make up, excess oil or any dirt, leaving your skin feeling really clean and hydrated. I love this product because it feels so great on your face and the scent is not too overpowering. This is a staple in my skincare routine which I 100% recommend!

Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask

My next fave is the Himalayan Charcoal Clay Mask and is more of a treat than a daily use. I love to use this once a week and pair it with a good ol’ bubble bath. It’s especially useful for those with oily skin as charcoal soaks up all the excess oil and it feels really refreshing. I also like that it doesn’t make your skin feel too tight even though it’s a clay mask.

Skin Defence Face Mist

This year I discovered the wonderful Hyram on YouTube who gives great skincare advice and really helps to explain the complicated lingo so you can try to understand the ingredients you’re using and know what products you should include in your routine. As a milky white Scottish gal I’ve always thought SPF was reserved only for holidays where I can actually see and feel that the sun in shining, but I’ve since learned how important it is to protect your skin. Because even though it’s cold here, those UV rays are still coming at you and there’s the blue light from your screens and pollution in the air that all contribute to damaging your skin. They say that if your skincare routine doesn’t include an SPF then you’re wasting your time. I am yet to find a full-on sunscreen that I really love but I think this Skin Defence Mist from The Body Shop is an amazing way to top up your protection throughout the day. Since your sunscreen only works for the first couple hours after you put it on, this seems like a great way to top up without having to mess up your make up or put on heavy cream regularly.

Vitamin C Skin Reviver Instant Smoother

Vitamin C is a hero ingredient when it comes to skincare as it brightens dark spots to help you look a little more alive! The Vitamin C Skin Smoother from The Body Shop is the nicest feeling primer I’ve used because it really nourishes your skin, smooths out your pores and feels like it makes a nice protective barrier between your skin and your make up.

Tea Tree Targeted Gel

Ever since my teenage days, The Body Shop’s Tea Tree range has been my friend, although less necessary now than during puberty. This wee gem, the Targeted Gel, is a great tool for whenever I have a wee break out. A definite go to for tackling pesky Maskne at the moment! It’s really easy to apply directly to the problem areas, rather than having to cover my whole face in tea tree that it doesn’t need.

Vanilla Pumpkin Hand Cream & Satsuma Hand Cleanse Gel

Another current essential is hand gel and hand cream to keep you hygienic and to rescue your hands after all the washing. These two are my current faves although I wouldn’t use both at the same time to avoid a scent battle! All of The Body Shop hand gels smell amazing but the Satsuma one is my personal favourite and signature scent, you can tell I’m around when you start to smell oranges! I rotate between different hand cream scents to moisturise my hands after soap dries them out and just now I’m loving their limited edition seasonal scent Vanilla Pumpkin.

Use code 14672 to get 15% off selected products online (ends 30 Nov) – I know I will be making use of this for my xmas shopping!
