Two people stand at the top of an aisle between a celebrant

planning my sister’s wedding

A little under 3 years ago we were in Orkney and Claire and Grant got engaged I was so happy for them and so excited to be asked to help them plan their wedding. It was a total honour for me to be able to use my skills to give two of my favourite people the biggest celebration.

As an event management grad, I took my planner role seriously and underwent some training with the lovely Cheryl from Premier Weddings before we started researching. Initially, the key question was to find out which aspects of a wedding they really cared about and which parts they weren’t fussed about so we could focus our energy and so I could take the boring parts off their hands. Three years and many Google docs and video calls later, we made it to their perfect day!

The venue is absolutely gorgeous on its own but I think we really brought it to life with all the details and personal touches, which primarily came from Claire’s mind. Hats off to her and my mum’s skilled hands and patience and to all the helping hands who assisted along the way.

We were all so pleased with how everything came together, from the brilliant suppliers (listed below) and entertainers to the sunshine that came out to play. But the most special part of it all was the wonderful people we got to share the day with ❤️
Couldn’t love yous more C&G – thank you for letting me be a part of your day and your lives.
