The Little Princess Trust is a registered charity that provide real hair wigs, free of charge, to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment. Obviously this is a great cause.
I have always had long hair, it was easier for putting it up for dance and so I never got anything cut off the length. But it got to the point where I was getting so lazy with my hair because it was too long to be bothered to do anything with it. Especially now that I didn’t have dance competitions, I had been wanting to change my hair for a while but I didn’t know what it was that I wanted to do. I came across LPT and found the solution to my hair boredom!
So I went to the hairdressers and we ended up cutting off around 17″ if I remember correctly. As you can see, I lost quite a lot of locks! It was such a drastic change for me and I was surprised how much I liked the finished product!
Plus shorter hair is so much easier to handle and takes about two seconds to dry. The actual process of donation is really easy too and their website gives clear, simple instructions.
I had quite a lot of people telling me how much my new cut suited me and I couldn’t be happier that this change I was going to make anyway also went to helping other people. It sounds superficial because it’s just hair but it a sacrifice to give it up and I am certain that the recipients of LPT wigs are very grateful! It’s really a win/win situation for everyone!

Here we are in 2018 doing it all over again! Less traumatic the second time around but still takes a moment to adjust to the lack of hair!
See http://www.littleprincesses.org.uk/donate-hair/ for more information on how to get involved!
